According to John Dobson (The Sidewalk Astronomer) ...'the Cosmos is made of hydrogen, helium and space dust. Give the space dust 10 billion years and it will be sitting in my class chewing gum.'
And (might it not be) that the classroom ought to best serve those who chew gum -- to eliminate ignorance (as more space dust accumulates, gradually filling the classroom with gum-chewing virtuosos of all things knowable)?
